There are many self defense, health, healing and spiritual applications...including with the L-Pattern Ngoma Ishara wa L ["Dancing L-Symbol/Pattern" ]...within the genuine self defense and whole human development art of Kipura from Kongo [ miscalled "Capoeira" in the year 1712 by Raphael Bluteau ] and improved upon, modernized, streamlined in my Njia Uhuru Kipura.  This art has been lost in Brazil, but I have retained and developed it.

  This International Self Defense Tip Of The Day comes courtesy of the country I live in...the United States of America...specifically, the state of Indiana. Five racist White men attacked one unarmed Afrikan-American for virtually no reason [ apparently a false claim of "trespassing" was made ]. They hit the Afrikan American male, dragged him out to the woods and literally called to their friends to "...get a noose for this boy!" Watch the video below: There are many things that I could recommend be done by the Afrikan American victim of this cowardly attack, but I tend to stick with the basics. The FIRST thing I teach my students is to recognize possible danger signs, and simply DON'T BE WHERE THE DANGER IS. Real hard to get victimized when you aren't there to be victimized. I deliberately showed the angles with the pistol and movement that I showed, because those of us who've had the [ misfortune? ] experience of bullets whizzing by our heads know that we do tend to change our movements and actions to adjust on the fly to the ever changing situation[s] we're in. I actually used this exact combination near The Carmelitos in Long Beach CA as a situation occurred and I realized that...although the perp was armed...I didn't need lethal force to contain him. The pistol and body feint I executed before the kicking combination was essential to setting the perp up and taking him out without having to resort to potentially lethal force.
