CAPOEIRA CLINCH: SNAKING HANDS-HEAD BUTT-TAKEDOWN-BANANEIRA

Image
I really like this technique because alot of people have no idea whatsoever that Capoeira has vicious clinch techniques, despite the fact that African martial arts are known for skillful fast and powerful wrestlers and the clever and brutal use of the head butt. The clinch--standing or on the ground--is the best place to launch the head butt. The hand chops to the neck are absolutely vital, as the chops combined with the clinch cause your opponent's head to swing in a half circle which [ combined with the heavy hand snap down ] really magnifies the vicious brutality of the head butt. Notice how I fired the head butt at an angle, using the full power of my ginga, my whole body movement and the combination of my opponent being snapped forward and my head spearing from an unprotected angle. I'm deliberately targeting his temple, maximizing my likelihood of scoring a KO. You will most definitely stun your opponent at least briefly with this move. That's what makes the k

REAL WORLD GINGA AND AU VS SINGLE AND MULTIPLE OPPONENTS

Image
This is a really excellent way to use capoeira in a real fight vs multiple opponents at once. It also shows the real world viability and utility of the floreios. Those fancy moves really serve a purpose combatively and are very very important to have and know. You'll succeed the great majority of the time because most of your opponents will be shocked and freeze a fraction of a second or more while you execute your combat floreios and you'll catch him more times than not if you set it up properly. CAPOEIRA:PASSAGEM DE MEIA LUA TO SLEEPER HOLD

Image
One of the slicker, meaner ways that I establish the sleeper hold on unsuspecting training partners. I prefer the entry I use when I use my left knee to knee hard my opponent's lead thigh, then place my left foot on or slightly outside of my partner's lead leg and flow without a break into the passagem and either sweep my opponent or lock a sleeper on to him. Either way? If you enter properly with the lead kick/knee to his lead thigh/knee, blast hard and fast with a Speed Trap and/or Power Trap [ singly or in combination ] the guy will be set up perfectly for your passagem de meia lua. You'll either sweep him or catch him in that RNC. Please comment my blogs and like, comment and sub my videos and Channels. We're new and we're renegades, so we need all the help that you are willing to offer. Thank you!

ATACX GYM CAPOEIRA: TESOURO TO ACHILLES LOCK

Image
This video is in response to frequent requests I've had regarding displaying the submission arsenal of capoeira and my frequent use of same in kickboxing, martial arts and capoeira gyms. Many capoeira instructors aren't aware that capoeira has a wicked array of submission locks throws, takedowns, etc. which derive from the African martial arts preceding disciplines like Laamb batuque and many other wrestling locking throwing striking weapon using African arts. Capoeira has heavily heavily impacted bjj, as the entirety of bjj's flowing movements come directly from capoeira...but bjj has also impacted capoeira. Capoeira--being the magical chameleon full of brilliance and malandragem that it is--has absorbed many bjj methods but in doing so has simply reemphasized many techniques which it already had. For instance, in the leg lock that I use in this video? The full expression of the technique requires me to flow up to my feet without stopping in a movement approaching esqu

ATACX GYM REAL CAPOEIRA: GROIN PUNCH+CARTWHEEL KICK

Image
This is one of my more popular capoeira videos depicting a real world use of the cartwheel kick in a self-defense scenario. It came about due to my frequent successful use of my cartwheel kick at Long Beach Kickboxing here in Long Beach CA [ I'm a MUAY THAI/KHMER KICKBOXING coach too. If you punch in ATACX GYM in Google or youtube? You will see that I hold black belts and coaching rank in many martial arts ]. In this video I show a setup which is very successful for me and both very surprising and very brutal...I set up my cartwheel kick with a feint and a nasty punch to the nads, then follow immediately with a cartwheel kick to the head. It's highly highly effective.

BLITZ-ANKLE-PICK-MARTELO TAKEDOWN

Further proof that Capoeira has blitzing hand strikes, takedowns and excellent kicks that are very realistic and easily usable for real world fights. This is a response to several fans who had questions behind the utility of the martelo and takedowns. Again, it's of the first importance that we grasp the fact that IF YOU CAN'T FIGHT, YOU CAN'T DO CAPOEIRA. Capoeira was crafted first and foremost for all out, life and death fights vs slavers.  Please read my blog entitled "IF YOU CAN'T FIGHT, YOU CAN'T DO CAPOEIRA", here: http://www.blogger.com/blogger.g?blogID=748872376719777327#editor/target=post;postID=6334462581658887903 Please read and comment my posts. There is a lot of information about capoeira's history and modern day functional fighting capoeira that my blogs dispense. Your support is needed and deeply appreciated. Thanks.
