BASIC OSOOSI/OXOSSI/OXOSI/OCHOSI KNIFE DEFENSE
There was a tragic attack on a deputy here in California, as she responded to a Hobby Lobby call for aid.
Sergeant Kimberly Watkins responded to the call of a man with a knife...made by the man himself, who was "incoherent" even during the phone call that he made which resulted in the dispatch of a Deputy to his location at or near the Hobby Lobby in Rancho Cucamonga here in my home state of California. An altercation ensued, and Sgt. Watkins was stabbed multiple times. Read here for the full story: SGT KIMBERLY WATKINS HEROICALLY RESPONDS TO MAN ARMED WITH A KNIFE
I am very happy to note that nobody lost their lives in this confrontation, despite Sgt. Kimberly having discharged her weapon three times [ only marginally grazing her male knife armed aggressor ], and despite the fact that she received several slashes and/or lacerations upon her shoulder and/or head. Sgt. Kimberly Watkins is listed in stable condition.
Let us note the fact that...were her aggressor an UNARMED Afrikan American male...the likelihood that he would have been killed is triple the rate of White men in America. CLICK HERE TO SEE THE STATS PROVING THAT UNARMED AFRIKAN AMERICAN MEN ARE 3 TIMES MORE LIKELY TO BE KILLED THAN WHITE MEN
The likelihood nearly doubles again if the Afrikan American is a knife wielding Afrikan-American male...making the armed Afrikan American male twice as likely to be killed than his armed White American male counterpart, even when they are armed with the same weapon, and the Afrikan American is smaller. Why is this important? Because our training provides a single simple solution to this and all other problems, thus sharply reducing both the liability costs and the mortality rates accrued, and sharply increasing the officers' safety and their ability to perform their duties effectively and efficiently.
If Sgt. Kimberly Watkins been trained in the basic footwork, evasive, and knife disarm skills like that which I show below...she would not have been hurt AND would have rather easily effected the arrest of the subject all by herself.

^^^CLICK THE LINK ABOVE TO SEE ONE OF THE MOST BASIC COMBINATION USE OF ELUSIVE/EVASIVE FOOTWORK AND A BASIC WRISTLOCK KNIFE DISARM. You didn't know that Kipura has wrist locks, did you? We do. And my family's NJIA UHURU KIPURA has the most efficient, effective wrist locks for self defense in the modern age of all Kipura arts and its cognates.
Understand that we are not at any time or in any way disparaging the bravery and professionalism of Sgt. Watkins. We are simply saying...stridently...that training like the kind that we provide in the NJIA UHURU KIPURA of my ATACX GYM vastly enhances safety for all officers and suspects. The skills that we provide allow our students...law enforcement or no...to resolve matters swiftly, confidently, efficiently without being forced to use severely injuring or lethal options due to lack of training or improper training in effective nonlethal skills which can be ratcheted up to deal with whatever level of threat the subject presents.

I'm going to quickly share with you the important history about the art of my family, Njia Uhuru Kipura.
Njia Ya Kupata Uhuru Kwa Kutumia Kipura..."The Way of Getting Freedom Using Kipura"...is the full real name of my family's art. But that's a lot to say. So we shorten it to "Njia Uhuru Kipura". Kipura's Way of Freedom or The Way of Freedom. As we all know, my family's Njia Uhuru Kipura is descended from the original Kipura of Kongo, the devastating war art that was probably created in BAMBA, the war capitol of Kongo. http://bit.ly/2fjGNv1
This BAMBA OF KONGO is the same BAMBA that Capoeiristas in Brasil sing about in their oldest songs like EU SOU BAMBAREAD HERE TO SEE THE SONG EU SOU BAMBA
In these songs? These "Capoeiristas" acknowledge that they are actually Kipura warriors from the region of Bamba.
The Kipura of Kongo created every single legend of "Capoeira" in Brasil, as all of these warriors are actually warriors of Kipura. Not "Capoeira". The Portuguese term "Capoeira" is the result of the mispronounciation of the correct word "KIPURA/KIPULA" of the KiKongo language of Kongo. "
"Capoeira" was first used in public documents in Brasil during the year 1712, 207 years after Afrikans were already using Kipura to defeat Brazil, Portugal, the Dutch and occasionally the Spanish in wars in or near Brasil. https://

This same art and/or its cognates was used everywhere in the Americas that Afrikans traveled, including the USA...where it was also called Knocking and Kicking. The Afrikans in the USA called The Gullah and The Geechee used this cognate of Kipura to fight and win a 50-100 Year War, establishing their independence and freedom during American Slavery. https://books.google.

We can see the overarching impact of Kipura on both Jailhouse Rock and 52 Blocks, which themselves are hybrid portions of the more comprehensive and deadlier Kipura of Kongo. https://en.wikipedia.
