THE TIME THE ORISHAS OSOOSI AND OGUN DESTROYED THE EVIL AJAKA TREE

In Yoruba mythology, Osoosi and Ogun are two distinct deities who are associated with different aspects.

Osoosi is the god of hunting, justice, and truth, while Ogun is the god of iron, war, and technology. They are often depicted as complementary forces, and there are instances in Yoruba mythology where they work together or are mentioned in relation to each other. One example of Osoosi and Ogun's collaboration can be found in the myth of the destruction of the Ajaka tree.

According to the myth, the Ajaka tree was a powerful and malevolent entity that was causing harm to the people. Ogun, as the god of iron and technology, created a powerful weapon to cut down the tree. However, the weapon was ineffective in completely destroying the tree.

In this myth, Osoosi, the god of hunting and justice, came to the aid of Ogun. Osoosi used his exceptional hunting skills to track down the Ajaka tree's hidden parts and expose them to Ogun's iron weapon. Through their combined efforts, they were able to completely destroy the malevolent tree, bringing relief to the people.

This collaboration showcases the complementary abilities of Osoosi and Ogun.

Ogun's craftsmanship and technology, represented by the creation of the weapon, combined with Osoosi's tracking skills and understanding of justice, enabled them to overcome a formidable challenge together.

It's important to note that Yoruba mythology consists of a rich and diverse collection of stories, and different variations may exist within different communities and lineages. Thus, other myths or tales involving the collaboration of Osoosi and Ogun may exist in different versions or traditions.

One of the many things that separates my family's self defense and whole human development system of Njia Uhuru Kipura [ "KIPURA'S WAY OF FREEDOM ] from the deliberately,  maliciously  diluted cardiovascular exercise routines like Cardio Capoeira...and from all other self defense systems on Earth...is that I, Head Coach/Mtaalam Mwalimu Ras, have done the work needed to peer into the deeper meanings and hidden messages within pataki like that of The Ajaka Tree, and translate the information gleaned directly into self defense skills and practices that otherwise would not be perceived in any other way.

For example, this pataki above reveals [ among many other things ] that Ogun and Osoosi worked very effectively together in combat [ Small Group Tactics ], worked together to protect the village of innocents [ Bodyguarding Mid-Sized Group ], and then tracked down and eliminated the evil enemy threat [ Search and Destroy ]. All of our strategies, tactics, techniques, maneuvers, etc would undergo special training in order to satisfy the above and multiple other Strategic imperatives. My Njia Uhuru Kipura is the only one that does this, and thus far I...Head Coach Ras...am the first and only in the Conscious Self Defense Community to conceive and execute such [ what to me are obvious ] lessons that has managed to escape the notice of all others thus far.
