#ATACXGYMCAPOEIRA OAKLAND ANGOLEIRO RODA: STREET WARRIOR VS STREET WARRIOR

The purpose of this Angoleiro roda drill hosted by Mestre Themba and his students in Oakland California was to remove your partner from the circle/roda by using minimal striking, primarily posture, movement, and cutting off your opponent's ability to escape/evade/maneuver, then pushing/sweeping/takedowns/throws or striking. Using Udanganyifu [ miscalled by the Brazilian Portuguese term "malicia" ] is required. Both feet and all parts of the body had to remain in the circle...with emphasis being on the hands and feet. After dealing with the slick technical skills of my younger brother in the White hoodie, SENSEI THOMAS OF THE WAY OF SIMPLICITY [ which we both learned from our primary teacher and Senior Lead Instructor of the Family Arts, Uncle Bobby ], I managed to get him to step with one foot out of the circle.
