Community Education and Vocational Empowerment

Part 3: Community Education and Vocational Empowerment Education is a powerful tool for breaking cycles of poverty and systemic oppression. Recognizing this, THE ATACX GYM has launched a comprehensive education initiative aimed at equipping children and adults with essential skills for self-sufficiency and entrepreneurship. From literacy programs for adults to S.T.E.A.M.-based (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) workshops for children, the gym provides tailored educational opportunities that meet the diverse needs of its community. These programs emphasize vocational training, teaching participants how to craft, build, and repair—skills that are vital for economic independence. THE ATACX GYM also supports budding entrepreneurs by offering classes on financial literacy and online business development. This approach empowers marginalized individuals to create their own opportunities, breaking free from systemic limitations. To all readers: like, comment, share...

Empowering Black/Alkebulan Women Through Self Defense and Advocacy

Part 2: Empowering Alkebulan Women Through Self-Defense and Advocacy Alkebulan women face disproportionate risks of being targeted for sex trafficking—a disturbing fact supported by FBI data showing they are four times as likely to be targeted due to systemic neglect and lenient punishments for traffickers preying on them. THE ATACX GYM, under Mwalimu Mtaalam Ras Fletcher’s leadership, has made it a mission to combat this crisis through education, advocacy, and empowerment. One cornerstone of this effort is the gym’s self-defense program, specifically designed for Alkebulan women. These classes teach participants how to defend themselves against physical threats while emphasizing situational awareness and legal protections. The program combines martial arts techniques with actionable legal knowledge, ensuring that women not only feel safer but also understand their rights when interacting with law enforcement. Furthermore, THE ATACX GYM actively organizes community rallies to com...

INTERNATIONAL SELF DEFENSE TIP OF THE DAY: AMERICA, STATE OF INDIANA

Image
This International Self Defense Tip Of The Day comes courtesy of the country I live in...the United States of America...specifically, the state of Indiana. Five racist White men attacked one unarmed Afrikan-American for virtually no reason [ apparently a false claim of "trespassing" was made ]. They hit the Afrikan American male, dragged him out to the woods and literally called to their friends to "...get a noose for this boy!" Watch the video below: There are many things that I could recommend be done by the Afrikan American victim of this cowardly attack, but I tend to stick with the basics. The FIRST thing I teach my students is to recognize possible danger signs, and simply DON'T BE WHERE THE DANGER IS. Real hard to get victimized when you aren't there to be victimized. These lessons are drawn directly from my Tier 1 Strategies, and the first Lesson taught is: AVOIDANCE.  When danger shows up looking for you? You should be long gone, leaving Danger to...
