SHOULD ISRAEL ADESANYA MATCH WITH DRISCUS DUPLESIS NEXT IN THE UFC?




 Should Israel Adesanya match next with DDP? We know that Dana wants that. You all know that I'm a die hard Adesanya  fan. What do I think?

Nope. I don't think he should do it. Even though it could definitely happen if Dana offers him stupid levels of money? I think doing so right now is wrong for several reasons:


1. That match was so close that it was crazy. A potent argument should and could be made for Sean or DDP being the winner. I'm Old Skool and come from the days where you had to DOMINATE THE CHAMP to win. Close matches goes to the champ like ties go to the base runner in baseball. Sean definitely imho deserves the next crack at DDP to get his belt back, especially because he so cleanly dominated Adesanyan in their last match. If you can't tell? I had Sean winning that match. 


2. If Sean wins the rematch...moving into a historical tie with Adesanya as the only 2xMW UFC champ? Then DDP deserves the threematch to see if he can even that score in history and retain his title.


3. Adesanya lost to Sean for all the wrong reasons. For once, The Last Stylebender's mindset wasn't laser focused and locked in on Sean, but instead he was derailed by all the completely unwarranted drama in his life and the complexities of managing the multimillion dollar business that he...Adesanya...is. The Last Stylebender should take this time to fully retool and add offensive wrestling takedowns, submsissions and a horrific hybrid MT-Greco Clinch game to his arsenal. He shouldn't remotely think about messing with someone to get his title back by the end of the year. At this time he will be fully healed, fully dialed in, had minicamps wherein he truly amplified his skills, fitness, and every weapon in the MMA arsenal. On top of that? There won't be any new footage on him, whereas there'll be 75 minutes of new footage on his opponents to analyze. He'll come back and win for sure.
