THE MIGHTY ORISA OSOOSI

Orisha Osoosi is a deity or Orisha from the Yoruba religion, which originated in West Africa and is practiced by the Yoruba people.

Osoosi is often associated with hunting, tracking, archery, and the pursuit of justice. According to Yoruba mythology, Osoosi possesses exceptional tracking abilities, making him renowned as the greatest tracker.

He is believed to have an innate understanding of the natural world, allowing him to navigate through forests and wilderness with ease. This skill is attributed to his close association with nature and his deep connection to the animal kingdom.

As the perfect archer, Osoosi is known for his exceptional marksmanship and accuracy with a bow and arrow. His ability to hit targets with precision symbolizes his focused and determined nature.
In Yoruba culture, archery represents discipline, patience, and the ability to strike down obstacles or enemies.

Osoosi is also revered as the perfect defender of law and justice. He is considered a guardian and protector of the community, ensuring that order is maintained and that justice is served. Osoosi's role as a defender reflects his unwavering commitment to upholding moral principles and promoting righteousness within society.

In Yoruba religious practices, Osoosi is often invoked for assistance in matters related to tracking, hunting, justice, and protection. Devotees may seek his guidance and blessings for success in their endeavors, for the resolution of conflicts, or for the defense of their rights.

It's important to note that the description of Osoosi as the greatest tracker, perfect archer, and perfect defender of law and justice stems from the beliefs and traditions of the Yoruba people. Different variations or interpretations of Osoosi's characteristics may exist within different branches or lineages of the Yoruba religion.

In my family's self defense and whole human development system of Njia Uhuru Kipura, The Mighty Osoosi is simultaneously an Earth elemental with special dominance in the wilderness,  jungle, forests, and deserts; and a Water Elemental interacting with rivers, lakes as well as both sea and ocean shores. He is the undisputed Master of not just Archery, and Tracking but ACCURACY AND PURSUIT. He can and will hit you with anything. He's known to have split an electron with a muon neutrino. He once slowed Time by putting an arrow in its flow. He once tracked found and returned a lost soul to its proper place before Ogun his brother finished a flask of honey because Osoosi could hear its sadness. Osoosi is also one of the absolute best Masters of Spirit Walking.

My gun disarms, I am proud to say, have worked all 19 times since the year 2000 they were used. None of my students were hurt while using the self defense skill I taught to them.

I'm going to quickly share with you the important history about the art of my family, Njia Uhuru Kipura.

Njia Ya Kupata Uhuru Kwa Kutumia Kipura..."The Way of Getting Freedom Using Kipura"...is the full real name of my family's art. But that's a lot to say. So we shorten it to "Njia Uhuru Kipura". Kipura's Way of Freedom or The Way of Freedom. As we all know, my family's Njia Uhuru Kipura is descended from the original Kipura of Kongo, the devastating war art that was probably created in BAMBA, the war capitol of Kongo.

This BAMBA OF KONGO is the same BAMBA that Capoeiristas in Brasil sing about in their oldest songs like EU SOU BAMBA

In these songs? These "Capoeiristas" acknowledge that they are actually Kipura warriors from the region of Bamba.

The Kipura of Kongo created every single legend of "Capoeira" in Brasil, as all of these warriors are actually warriors of Kipura. Not "Capoeira". The Portuguese term "Capoeira" is the result of the mispronounciation of the correct word "KIPURA/KIPULA" of the KiKongo language of Kongo. "

"Capoeira" was first used in public documents in Brasil during the year 1712, 207 years after Afrikans were already using Kipura to defeat Brazil, Portugal, the Dutch and occasionally the Spanish in wars in or near Brasil. https://streetsmartbrazil.com/when-capoeira-would-land-you-prison/

This same art and/or its cognates was used everywhere in the Americas that Afrikans traveled, including the USA...where it was also called Knocking and Kicking. The Afrikans in the USA called The Gullah and The Geechee used this cognate of Kipura to fight and win a 50-100 Year War, establishing their independence and freedom during American Slavery.

We can see the overarching impact of Kipura on both Jailhouse Rock and 52 Blocks, which themselves are hybrid portions of the more comprehensive and deadlier Kipura of Kongo. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jailhouse_rock_(fighting_style)

My art of Njia Uhuru Kipura is a modernization, improvement upon, and continuance of the amazing Afrikan self defense legacy of the legendary ancestors before me.
