1. Kidnapping in Brazil: Brazil has faced kidnapping challenges, particularly in the past. Kidnapping incidents have been associated with criminal groups seeking ransom or other criminal motives. Black people and Black girls and women most of all. Black children secondarily. And people of color, poor people, girls and women are even more susceptible to being kidnapped and never found again than they are in the USA.


2. Police efforts: Brazilian law enforcement agencies have taken measures to combat kidnapping, including specialized units dedicated to anti-kidnapping operations.
