Family of Nigerian businessman killed in California helicopter crash sues charter company
### Before I quote what my deep concerns and suspicions are, allow me to add my deep condolences and sadness to the unfortunate bounty of sorrows that have befallen the victims and all who love them as a result of this tragedy. And it is a tragedy. Never. Ever. Forget that. This is why the perpetrators of this crime must suffer the most severe punishments possible.
Let me quote the entirety of the facts that I have been able to garner about the events in question, so we are all operating from the same set of facts:
"LOS ANGELES (AP) — The family of a Nigerian business leader who died in a Southern California helicopter crash that killed five others in February filed a lawsuit Wednesday claiming the flight should have been grounded because of treacherous weather.
Relatives of Abimbola Ogunbanjo, the former chair of the Nigerian stock exchange, allege in the court filing that the charter company, Orbic Air LLC, improperly flew the helicopter despite a “wintry mix” of snowy and rainy conditions in the Mojave Desert where the crash occurred on Feb. 9.
Ogunbanjo, 61, was killed along with Herbert Wigwe, chief executive of Nigeria’s Access Bank, and Wigwe’s wife and 29-year-old son. Ogunbanjo was on his way to Las Vegas to attend the Super Bowl.
Both pilots — Benjamin Pettingill, 25, and Blake Hansen, 22 — also died. They were licensed as commercial helicopter pilots as well as flight instructors.
Andrew C. Robb, one of the attorneys who filed the lawsuit, said Ogunbanjo’s family is seeking “answers and accountability.”
“Helicopters do not do very well in snow and ice,” Robb told The Associated Press. “This flight was entirely preventable, and we don’t know why they took off.”
Ogunbanjo’s wife and two children filed the suit in San Bernardino County Superior Court on Wednesday against Orbic Air and its CEO, Brady Bowers, alleging wrongful death and negligence.
The suit also names the unidentified successors of Pettingill and Hansen, whom Ogunbanjo’s family also faults.
Orbic Air did not reply to an email and phone call seeking comment.
The National Transportation Safety Board is still investigating the cause of the crash. In February, the agency released a preliminary investigation report that outlined the helicopter’s flight path and provided details about wreckage that was strewn across 100 yards (91 meters) of desert scrub.
Investigators found the fuselage was fragmented, and the cockpit and cabin were destroyed. Damage to the engine and the metal deposits that were found would indicate that it was operational at the time of the crash.
The report cited law enforcement, saying several witnesses who were traveling in vehicles along Interstate 15 had called 911 to report observing a “fireball” to the south. The witnesses reported that it was raining with a mix of snow.
The helicopter left Palm Springs Airport around 8:45 p.m. on Feb. 9 and was traveling to Boulder City, Nevada, which is about 26 miles (40 kilometers) southeast of Las Vegas, where the Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers were set to play that Sunday in Super Bowl 58.
The lawsuit seeks a jury trial and payment for Ogunbanjo’s burial and funeral expenses, as well as other damages.
Robb’s firm, Robb and Robb LLC, represented Kobe Bryant’s widow, Vanessa Bryant, in her lawsuit against the pilot and owners of the helicopter that crashed in Calabasas in 2020, killing the NBA star, his daughter, Gianna, and seven others. The lawsuit was settled in 2021 for an undisclosed amount."
I don't think that these deaths above were accidental. I think the extremely aggressive banking and economic forces which forced the USA under Obama to invade and destroy Gadaffi's Libya so that the #racistfeudalist #imperialist #plutocrats who run the USA and their allies could plunder Libya's OPEC oil money for themselves also targeted Ogunbanjo and Herbert Wigwe for assassination, because Nigerian Access Bank was not only strengthening the economic powers of Alkebulan miscalled Africa for the benefit of we in Alkebulan [as proven by the adroit reporting of Felix Oloyede here: https://punchng.com/nigerian-banks-intensify-acquisition-drive-for-african-market-share/
But this compellingly sensible business decision and effective action was compounded by their utterly sensible and financially lucrative desire to initiate and expand economic ties and joint business ventures with Alkebulans in America aka African Americans aka Black people who are business owners and other financially profitable partners.
The policy of continued all out [but hidden from legacy White media] aggression against Alkebulan miscalled Africa and all of her people in the world has been one of the written in stone but silent, and utterly murderous, destructive and horrendous stated policies and requirements for the USA and its allies vis-a-vis especially continents like Alkebulan more than any others [and the others include Southeast Asia, The Arab World and Latin America ] since Henry Kissinger's NSSM 200 [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_Security_Study_Memorandum_200] made crystal clear that such aggressions are required, supported, solicited and rewarded...allegedly to protect the international security interests of the USA. So...causing wars and enslavement, creating and infecting millions of innocents with their synthetic lab-made diseases is pursuing the international security interests of the USA.
This policy empowered an already soulless imperial culture to the extent that it birthed hundreds of Economic Hit Men whose sole purpose was to steal trillions of dollars of resources and money from continents like Alkebulan miscalled Africa...you lookin doubtful?
"Confessions of an Economic Hit Man" by John Perkins is a book that discusses how economic policies and practices by developed nations, especially the United States, have often been used to exert economic influence over developing countries, including those in Africa.
For those in the idgit row? Nigeria...where Ogunbalon and Henry Wigwe are from? It's the largest country in Alkebulan miscalled Africa.
According to Perkins, economic hit men (EHMs) are professionals who are hired to cheat countries around the globe out of trillions of dollars. They funnel money from the World Bank, the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), and other foreign "aid" organizations into the coffers of huge corporations and the pockets of a few wealthy families who control the planet's natural resources.
The book suggests that these practices have contributed to poverty in Africa by saddling countries with enormous debts that they cannot hope to repay, leading to dependence on foreign aid and influence. The debts are often incurred through loans provided to fund large infrastructure projects, which are intended to benefit the lenders more than the recipient countries. These activities are described as neo-colonial because they allow the developed countries to exert control and influence over the politics and economics of the developing countries, keeping them in a state of dependency and underdevelopment.
It's important to note that while Perkins' book is controversial and has faced criticism for various reasons, including questions about the veracity of some claims, it has also contributed to discussions about the dynamics of global finance, development, and the ethical responsibilities of multinational corporations and governments in their dealings with developing nations...and even places like Greece.
Doubt me? Let's quote someone who knows:
“When I read Confessions of an Economic Hit Man, I could not have known that, some years later, I would be on the receiving end of the type of ‘economic hit’ that Perkins so vividly narrated. This book resonates with my experiences of the brutish methods and gross economic irrationality guiding powerful institutions in their bid to undermine democratic control over economic power. Perkins has, once again, made a substantial contribution to a world that needs whistle-blowers to open its eyes to the true sources of political, social, and economic power.”
—Yanis Varoufakis, former Minister of Finance, Greece
When you put these large looming proofs and admitted multidecades of unfettered aggression, genocide and soulless plunder together? The seeming "accident" of Henry Wigwe's and Ogunbanjo's death are nowhere near as sanguine or as "accidentally" as the "media" is making it out to be.
At least, that's my "continuing to develop as information comes out" opinion.
